Fort Worth Country Day held Trinity Valley to three points Friday and won 28–3. Around a rivalry, that is a satisfying bit of defensive work to have in your pocket.
The Falcons won the SPC game by 25 and stand fourth on The Beard Polls’ SPC 3A board. A defense that keeps a rival to three has provided something useful to build on, whatever the next assignment brings.
The arithmetic looked considerably different in TAPPS six-man Division I. Vanguard College Prep won 66–60 at Coram Deo Academy. The teams combined for 126 points, and Vanguard came away with the six-point edge.
Vanguard sits third in that Beard Poll, one place ahead of Coram Deo. Six points leave room for a healthy argument about how close these teams are. The head-to-head result supplies a fairly persuasive opening statement for Vanguard.
