Magnolia finishes the job after the touchdowns against Klein Cain

Magnolia still had work to do after getting in front of Klein Cain on Thursday. The Bulldogs blocked the final extra point, recovered an onside kick and finally secured a 37–34 victory. A lead is a fine thing. Keeping it requires a few more chores.

Cash Ferrell scored three touchdowns, and Magnolia’s reported rushing total reached 343 yards. That gave the Bulldogs a substantial ground-game contribution while they rallied their way back into the contest.

Magnolia has won four straight. This one supplied a useful reminder about how many parts of a team have to cooperate when the margin is three points. The offense helped produce the rally. Special teams helped make it hold up.

The postseason has a way of checking the hinges on every gate. Magnolia just got important work from more than one unit in a tight finish. That is worth carrying forward along with the win.
