King follows the North Shore win with another piece of district business

C.E. King had already collected the North Shore headlines. Thursday required another win, and Summer Creek was under no obligation to be impressed by the previous week.

The Panthers went on the road and won 27–20. King is 8–1. Summer Creek is 5–4. The seven-point margin belongs beside those records, along with the fact that King followed its North Shore victory with another district road result.

A team can dine out on a big win for exactly as long as the next opponent allows. King got back to work and brought home another one.

That is the part worth watching as November approaches. The Panthers have now put together consecutive results that give their season more substance than one memorable evening. Handling the congratulations and handling the next game are different assignments. King has done both.
